My name is Laila Felan and my theriotype is a wolf. I first learned the word therianthropy recently but I have been looking into shifting and the supernatural for about 2 years now.  I have always had a strong connection to animals but I have always felt wolves were extra special and every time I see a wolf i feel this strong sense of longing like that is who I'm meant to be. I suspect I am a black wolf that looks like my profile picture (specifically a black Alexander Archipelago wolf) because I have the same feeling mentioned earlier but stronger. I also gravitate toward the night and tend to sneak out on summer nights to watch the moon and stars( occasionally I'll even give in to the temptation to let out a good howl:)). I think the reason we are therians is because our spirits are closer to our theriotype than we tend to be with humans ( at least thats the way it is in my case) and so we slowly transform into that animal(if we choose to embrace that part of ourselves). I have experienced a few times were I have gone into the mindset of a wolf. I have growled and bared my teeth at people who had done things to make me angry or upset. I've had times where all I could stand to eat was meat (especially a nice rare steak) and I tend to yelp when hurt or surprised. I don't think I'm completely m shifted mainly becuase I have a very hard time meditating. I want to get tips on shifting and meditation methods from other people. I also want to be a part of a community who won't judge me and understands my journey. I would like to teach others what I have already gathered becuase I have researched a lot and know a lot of useful information. I would also like to be there for people and welcome them or just help them when their having issues and need a friend and support. Kind of like a counselor.

Nice to meet you :)

My 'animal self' shows a lot in me everyday. It's something I have to deal with, but yet I don't know what I would be without it.- Luar Lobo (me)

Welcome to our mildly functional group :P
It's nice to see a wolf therian that actually has an idea of their species. Most just go "I'm a wolf" and no further.

Thank you all for welcoming me! :D I'm glad to be here and I hope to be able to return the help you guys have offered me. I think a little research should always be done with your theriotype not just well i think im this cuz it looks nice. If you find a theriotype you should always look into it and at least try and find out more about your species.

no problem laila :) and yes, you speak the truth about knowing your species, and not just going about how it looks.
